Health & Wellbeing Fitness Floor Volunteer 

1.  Volunteer Summary:  

The Fitness Floor Volunteer will help maintain a clean uncluttered fitness floor as well as assist members with basic questions regarding fitness equipment and how to connect with a Personal Trainer. 

2.  Volunteer General Responsibilities:  

Greet members on the fitness floor Put away equipment to maintain safe and clutter free environment  Address common member questions related to fitness equipment Connect members with Personal Trainers  Address unsafe situations that present harm to members Follow all procedures and policies of the department, branch and Association  

3.  Volunteer Qualifications/Requirements: 

Minimum age of 21  Volunteer application  Face-to-face interview  Criminal Background Check  Reference Check  Signed Code of Conduct  Completion of online New Volunteer Orientation (NVO)  

4.  Physical Demands:  

Ability to lead and participate in physical activities that may include but are not limited to walking, standing for long periods of time, bending, reaching, running, throwing and kicking.  

5.  Additional Notes:  

This volunteer opportunity represents the primary needs identified at this time but is not intended to be all-inclusive. The volunteer will also be responsible for taking direction from the Program Director, Branch Executive or other designated YMCA team member.
