The BreakAway Kids Triathlon and Family Splash & Dash are two separate events, both held at Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove, on Friday and Saturday, August 21 and 22. 

For this set-up shift on Thursday, volunteers will help to get our race course set-up for the fun!  You'll be marking the course, setting up obstacles and fencing.

Volunteers will complete the set-up of the race course so it is ready for the race to begin at 3:00pm.  You'll help with the set-up of flagging & fencing, obstacles and barricades, and course marking.

It's Race Day!!  We'll be putting finishing touches on the course to include fencing, flagging, setting up tents and tables, and bike racks.  Then at 2:30 we'll shift into race mode and will assign you to a designated spot as a course marshal.  You'll help to keep racers safe and on-course, encouraging, and supporting where needed.

We'll need a few volunteers to bring their bikes, helmets and basic tools to ride the bike course and help bikers if needed.

Volunteers will start with finishing the set-up of the race course 9am-2:00pm.  Then, we'll move into race mode, and you'll help to ensure we have a safe and adventurous Splash & Dash event for our participants!  Be ready to pivot to wherever the need is. Opportunities for help at racer check-in or along the race course to help with directions, safety, encouragement and support.

It's Race Day, our favorite day of the summer!  Saturday will be our BreakAway Kids Tri, and we'll have many excited racers who will begin arriving even before their 7:30am prep time.  We'll rely on you to help with final race prep details, and assist excited families to get settled.   As a course marshal, well appreciate your flexibility to pivot to an assigned spot where needed most, and the race will begin at 9am.  You'll help to keep racers safe and on-course, encouraging, and supporting where needed.

It's Race Day, our favorite day of the summer, and we guarantee that racers had a blast!  Saturday Tear Down volunteers will begin to take down the course marking and obstacles, after our final racers have moved through each area. We'll count on you to help us pack up our bins for safekeeping for our next event and load the trucks.

It's Race Day, our favorite day of the summer, and we are ready for fun!  Saturday volunteers will help our racers get ready for the triathlon, and then work as course marshals to help with directions, safety, encouragement and support.  As our last racers make their way on to the course, we'll begin to dismantle the course far behind them.  We'll count on your flexibility to pivot to where the help is needed most.
