The Y offers a range of health, wellness, educational, and social activities for older adults. The ForeverWell Volunteer Ambassador will aid in building the ForeverWell community through welcoming new members, building relationships and leading/assisting with activities. A Volunteer Ambassador displays leadership, good relationships, a collaborative spirit and a positive outlook.
The Volunteer Ambassador is responsible for their assigned activity with minimal level of supervision and acts as a liaison between the group activity and FW Coordinator. Duties may include, but are not limited to e-mail correspondence, telephone communication, room set-up, greeting members, activity leadership, meeting facilitation, promotion of FW activities and ensure of safety protocols. The overall goal of the position is to assist the ForeverWell Coordinator to create a welcoming and encouraging environment to engage older adult members on their health and wellness journey
