Sports Program Volunteer
Volunteer Summary:
The Sports Volunteer provides much needed assistance and support to Sports Coaches, Officials, sports leadership, other volunteers, and youth participants where needed. The Sports Volunteer cares about youth’s development and physical health by supporting recreational time and activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to Sports Coaches, Officials, Sports Leadership as needed
- Monitor all equipment inventory
- Work with site coordinators to set and clean up after classes, practices and games
- Assemble youth participants before classes, practices, games
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk and participate in sporting activity for extended periods of time
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 14
- Enthusiastic, motivated and dependable, with the ability to relate to children & adults
- Positive role model for program participants
- Adhere to the YMCA Youth Sports and Values program philosophy

- Signed Code of Conduct
- Completion of online New Volunteer Orientation (NVO)
- Completion of online Concussion Training
