The BreakAway Kids Triathlon and Family Splash & Dash are two separate events held on different days in August 2023:
- Join us on Friday, August 18th for the Family Splash & Dash open to kids aged 7 and up racing independently, or kids aged 4 and up, with an adult racer. The adult racer can be a parent, friend, or family member. This swimming and running event is held on the same course as our famous triathlon, minus the bike portion. It's designed as the perfect introduction to triathlon and invites younger racers as well as adults racing with kids.
- On Saturday, August 19th, kids aged 7 and up are invited to participate in the biggest and best kids triathlon in the country. For this great introduction to the sport of triathlon, kids will swim, bike and run their way through a fun and safe course. Racers will swim in a man-made chlorinated pond with no fish or weeds, bike through paved trails within the park, and experience fun obstacles on the run course.
Volunteers for this shift will help to ensure we have a safe and adventurous Triathlon event for our participants! Be ready to pivot to wherever the need is. Opportunities for help at racer registration, volunteer check-in, our retail store, or along the race course to help with directions, safety, encouragement and support.
